“A fantastically acted, shot and packaged film. Sit back, pay attention and enjoy. You may just find some relatable material that can spark your own journey to closure or self-evaluation. .”READ THE WHOLE REVIEW HERE

“When I finished watching the Shelter, I wanted to fling the disc across the room.  It ends in a most frustrating way, after a most frustrating narrative.  But as I yelled about my frustration with it, I found answers to questions I had tumbling out of my own mouth, and I started to come around on it.” –  READ THE WHOLE REVIEW HERE

Two new reviews of  THE SHELTER recently surfaced. Scoll down! You can now order THE SHELTER on DVD here!

WE ARE INDIE HORROR: “”The Shelter is a mysterious film with an atmospheric tone that carries the film’s melancholic exploration of love lost and regret with unbridled force. From his stumbling drunkenness to his explosive anger, Michael Pare, gives one of his best performances of his long career!” – READ THE REVIEW HERE

HORRORFUEL: “The pain and darkness one feels within can be the most horrifying of all. Fallon could be trying to say that rock bottom may not actually be the furthest one can reach when they fall. It’s dark and introspective, and has a very Twilight Zone feel about it. “ – READ THE REVIEW HERE

“It keeps people guessing what is going to happen next and the level of realism makes this film a special gem.” – READ THE REVIEW HERE

“I cannot think of a better actor than the very talented Michael Paré to show spectators Thomas’s psyche and how bad deeds could make us live our earthly life in hell.” – READ THE REVIEW HERE

Two new reviews for THE SHELTER have recently surfaced. The first is from THE MOVIE GUYS, the second from ADDICTED TO HORROR.

“Can almost be labeled as a faith-based thriller. But with the subjects of infidelity, alcoholism, suicide coupled with open sex scenes, violence, and touches of horror, this unusual mix with its strength in faith delivers a taboo of sorts to a non-secular audience. The same could be said with the new Mel Gibson movie, Hacksaw Ridge, as well, basically a faith-based film filled with extreme violence alienating the very audience that should be seeing it.” - READ THE REVIEW HERE

” For those of us seeking unconventional chills, The Shelter holds a surprise in store that’s going to leave a welcomed scar on the Psyche. The Shelter is a twisted psychological story that will leave viewers squirming, struggling to juggle some ideas far too intense for the average mind to process.” – READ THE REVIEW HERE

Five new THE SHELTER reviews and two new interviews!

ktspod_img_164

With THE SHELTER opening top day in select theaters (screening for a week) and  on VOD today (watch it here) the press has been ample on the film. Here are two recent interviews with Writer/Director John Fallon, one at WhysoBlu and the other and Kicking the Seat! Below the 5 most recent reviews.

LA TIMES: “John Fallon’s “The Shelter” is remarkably ambitious. It’s a concise genre piece that doubles as a heavily metaphorical character sketch. More B-movies could stand to be like “The Shelter,” which at least tries to tie its darkness to something real.  – READ THE REVIEW HERE

THATMOMENTIN: “Fallon mixes some effectively creative imagery and impressive visuals in among the often dreary grey overtones.  – This is all Pare!” READ THE REVIEW HERE

KICKING THE SEAT: “The Shelter becomes a moving exercise in faith and self-reconciliation” - READ THE REVIEW HERE

GBHBL: “It’s a movie that lives & dies on its lead’s performance as much of this film is focused on his reactions to the events unfolding in front of his eyes. Thankfully Michael Paré does an excellent job of portraying a man haunted by his own guilt, desperate to forget everything in the the nearest bottle of booze.” READ THE REVIEW HERE

NIGHTMARISH CONJURING: “The film is beautifully done.  John Fallon made excellent use of ethereal lighting to get his vision across.  The use of bright lights against the darkened backdrop brings you in, a lot of it feels like the diffused lighting one encounters in a church under natural lighting through stained glass windows, I suspect that’s not an accident.” - READ THE REVIEW

Two new reviews surface for The Shelter!

Two new THE SHELTER reviews have surfaced.

The first via MOVIE ELITE: “The Shelter was gripping from start to finish and the outcome was quite unpredictable; it’s the type of film that warrants repeat viewings as not everything is explained which is just how I like it. “READ THE REVIEW HERE!

The second is from TWISTED CENTRAL: “Fallon doesn’t do any hand holding here. He lays out a story and leaves it to his audience to decide what is actually happening. I suspect true fans of the psychological thrillers will enjoy it. It’s a frighteningly beautiful tale that will leave you breathless.” – READ THE REVIEW HERE

The Shelter will be released in theaters and on digital on November 4th and on DVD come January 3rd from Uncork’d Entertainment.
